The Northern Ireland Bat Group are offering a volunteer work placement to university and further education students aged 18+ living in the North West region. The student will be based at Creggan Country Park, Derry and will be tasked with:
- Answering bat roost enquiries and bat rescue calls on our helpline at Creggan Country Park 10am-4pm, emails and Facebook page
- Help to organise member events
- Recruiting and co-ordinating volunteers and liaising with Bat Conservation Trust
- Attend external meetings on behalf of the Northern Ireland Bat Group
- Attend events and exhibitions with our promotional stall
In return, we will provide:
- Free training and support for the role
- Free training to obtain a volunteer bat roost visitor license
- Mileage/transport costs to and from work and to meetings/ events on behalf of the group
- Lunch
