Learn why bats are important, use special bat detecting equipment that allows you to ‘hear’ bats and discover fascinating facts about our solar system, the moon, constellations and how light pollution affects our health and the environment.

We begin our night time adventure at An Carn Community Centre at 5.30pm – 6.50pm for refreshments, kids crafts, talks and quiz.

Then at 7pm – 8.30pm, everyone will make their way to the Drumnaph Nature reserve for the bats and night sky discovery walk. We will start with bat detecting then join IAA at their viewing station where you will get the chance to use telescopes and discover more about the night sky.
