Our ever popular event is back again this year! Discover what comes out when the sun goes down around Hallow’s Eve! This family event involves a spooky bat tour of a local green space where you will learn how to use special bat detecting equipment and discover more about local myths and legends with a local bat expert and tour guide. We would advise participants to wear warm waterproof clothing and strong footwear. Suitable for ages 7+ only.

 

All equipment including torches will be provided. This event is free and kindly funded by Heritage Lottery Fund and NIEA Challenge Fund 2014

 

Session 1: Suitable for all ages

5.30pm – 6.30pm Make a bat mask and meet a real bat

 

Session 2: Suitable for ages 7+ only

6.30pm – 7.30pm Bat talk and batty games and meet a real bat

Break for refreshments

7.45pm – 8.30pm Bat walk and Ghost story telling (weather permitting)
