Come along to the Ulster American Folk Park on 23rd August for a camping adventure like no other!

We have teamed up with the RSPB to deliver a batty themed evening including a bat talk, batty games, treasure hunt and bat walk

 

For one night only, visitors can pitch their tents in the fantastic grounds of the Ulster American Folk Park Omagh. Tickets are selling quickly for this unique experience so don’t delay – call RSPB NI on 028 9049 1547 to reserve your place by the camp fire!

The Big Wild Campout will be a wonderful experience for campers as they will not only be able to enjoy the grounds by day, but will also have the unique opportunity to experience all the site has to offer once the sun goes down.
Visitors will also enjoy reduced entry in to the museum the following day.
From 4pm on Saturday 23rd August the RSPB team and their friends at Cotswold Outdoors will help guests set up their home for the night and they will then be free to explore the area and get settled in.

The Big Wild Campout activities at a glance:

  • Guests are asked to pack all their favourite picnic foods (and some snacks in case of midnight munchies)
  • Bat detecting
  • Moth trapping with Butterfly Conservation Northern Ireland
  • Nature trails
  • Movie screening
  • Stargazing
  • Songs and stories around the camp fire
  • Facepainting
  • Arts and crafts activities
  • Bush crafts with Cotsworld Outdoors

Breakfast:

  • After spending the night in nature campers will wake to the delicious smells of a cooked breakfast wafting into their tent!

 

More activities will be on offer after breakfast until 10.30am when guests are encouraged to pack up their pitch and avail of reduced entry into the museum.

  • Tickets for the Big Campout cost £20 per adult, £15 per child (under 16) including breakfast.

  • Cotswold are also offering a 10 per cent discount to all ticket holders for this event at their Castle Lane and Boucher Road stores so you can get everything you’ll need to sleep out in nature, (just show your booking confirmation to avail of the discount)!
