Join our team of volunteers and learn how to become a bat ambulance driver.  Ambulance drivers take calls from members of the public who have found a bat either injured or grounded. It is their job to advise the caller on containment and possible release or to collect the bat if injured and bring to a bat carer.

The workshop will cover:

  • Health and safety
  • Bat Handling
  • Bat First Aid
  • Containment
  • Communicating with the public
  • Assessing roost potential (so that the record can be passed to a roost visitor)
  • Submitting records

Advanced booking essential: [email protected] and please let us know dietary requirements as we will be providing refreshments.

All outdoor events are weather permitting. Suitable for adults and children from seven years up, unless otherwise stated.
